About Ken
Ken Clemmer, Bandits ringleader and band leader, plays guitar and sings lead and harmony. His instrumental music began in 1st grade and has included many styles - jazz, Dixieland, even symphonic. A Texas native & long-time Arizonan, he loves the improvisational music of acoustic stringed instruments. Ken knows the lyrics to a million tunes and also writes a few (Sweet Texas Morning is his favorite original). He favors his "roots" music - bluegrass, old-time, cowboy, Southern folk, gospel, traditional country. A sense of humor is his prized possession, and he has access to some of the state's finest acoustic pickers. Ken has also served as MC at various festivals and functions, and he provides solo and small-group entertainment - acoustic, strolling, etc. - for corporate & social gatherings, hayrides, campfires, and such. He just likes folks...
